The final scoop on last year's resolutions

Last year's resolutions (on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being the most fulfilled)

1. Write a new job description for myself - Well, I never really finished this one. I did do a lot of thinking about it. I made some notes. But did I ever really write it down in some of finished form? No. During a discussion with the manager and the assistant manager last week about the annual reviews for the people in my department, I did spill how unhappy I had been in my current position. I am sure this will cause all sorts of problems. It seems like a job-killing move to me. We never finished that discussion. It was only started. It is sure to come back up when I receive my own annual evaluation from them. - 6

2. Get the Pontiac fixed by May - This one sort of worked itself out, as most of you know. The Pontiac was totaled in May. I got a new used car in early June. So far, I have replaced the windshield wipers and had the rear drum brakes replaced. It seemed to run pretty well. Since I did get some work done on the Pontiac before it got murdered by that F150, and because the point of this resolution was to get a well-running car and I do now have that, I am going to count this as a success.- 8

3. Read Old Testament by June - In May I extended this to a year. The Old Testament is long! Everyone at church tells me I shouldn't just read it through in order. They say I need to stop and study it. Yeah, I do, but I wanted to read it through from start to finish one time and then go back to it  and study it bit by bit. I did not do well on this resolution. I am only through 1 Kings, which is only about 1/3 of the way through. - 3

4. Spend at least 3 hours a week on housework - Total bust! I don't do housework regularly. I do it when I have to do it or when I reach the point where I can't stand it anymore. Failure. - 0

5. Minor resolutions - I had many of these little resolutions. In fact there were so little I wouldn't call them resolutions, more like ideas. Most I failed at. I did go to a euchre meet-up once and had a pretty good time until I had to flee due to horrible diarrhea. I will go back some day, but haven't since then. As for saving for my little goals, I met both of those! I reduced my bills and saved enough money to go to Guatemala. Overall, I would give myself a pretty decent score, considering that I did the important ones(?) - 5

OVERALL AVERAGE SCORE - 4.4 out of 10
